I'm back!!!! :)

I am officially back into sewing!!!!
I have a new machine, YAY!!!!!!!

Also in other news, BUB #2 is due in 9 weeks!!! :)
I have quite a bit to do before the big arrival, so pics will be coming very soon :)

OH yeah!

I've borrowed my grandmother's sewing machine while mine is getting serviced :)
I managed to do half of my swap item today, so happy!
Didn't have the best today, think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed... Just been ultra short tempered, horrible mumma today :( So hoping tomorrow will be better!
Tonight's been good though, had an awesome dinner (because I didn't have to cook LOL) and have been chillin, listening to some tunes :) Have updated my music on here with my current favs :) Loving these songs sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much right now!!!

My poor neglected blog :(

Well I have neglected my poor blog for far too long :(
There hasn't been much going on in my life lately... I think I just lost my sewjo and didn't feel like any type of crafting...
I'm feeling really motivated and inspired the last few days :) So I'm hoping to finish everything in my to-do pile and get started on some new stuff :) I have so much fabric, I need to use a lot of it before I can buy anymore!!!
I'm doing the next SoL swap after sitting out for about 6 months... I'm really excited and can't wait to get started on my item!!! Now I just need to decide what I want to make for my swapee :)

Here is the christmas dress I finished yesterday for my 2 year old niece... I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I hope it fits! I still have to try it on B so to see if it needs any adjustments... (Please excuse the peg, it wouldn't stay on the hanger!)

new shorts for B...

I whipped up some new shorts for B last night... my fastest sewing ever!!!

This is one of the first items i made...
Even before pj's...
A bit ambitious!
But I love the way it turned out & I can't wait to see it on Miss M...

2 bags for two 9yr old girls...

I had my cousin A who is 9 stay over here on thursday night...
We did some sewing together... The big one is for A and the small one for her best friend S...
She picked all the materials and did some of the sewing...
I helped and hand stitched the skulls on...

retro/vintage patterns...

Mum is here and we've been spending time at Lincraft (which really sucked) and spending up big at Spotty... Mum bought a huge stash to take home with her, she'll be busy sewing up a storm before Christmas!

We found a box of old patterns in the shed... It hadn't been looked at for about 15 years... Just kept moving it from house to house... I scored a whole heap of them!!!!
We also found a huge box of fabric, so I scored some of that too!

what's happening...

i got my microfibre today so i can finally make inserts for B's nappies...

mum is arriving on sunday... i've got so much to do still! i hope i get everything done...

This is the outfit i made for my swapper's little girl...
Its a cotton top and soft corduroy shorts... I love this material combination, the floral looks so nice!
I hope my swapee likes it!!

this is the dress i made last weekend for my 10 year old cousin...
she loved it!
it was very easy to make, the fabric came from spotty and had already been shirred...
the only fiddly part was making the straps...

Two sickies at home right now...

Damo & B are both sick... Damo has a sinus infection & B has a cold... Damo has been off work since Wednesday & is on antibiotics...
Why is it when a man gets sick, he is dying?

The first pair of pyjamas I made for B... I ended up hand sewing quite a bit of them!

i can't wait for the weekend...
to have Damo home with us, to be able to spend time as a family... bliss!

Zhara (the cat) doesn't usually go near B voluntarily, so when this happened last week, I had to take a photo!!!!



A pair of pj's made by me! I love this material! The print is awesome and the fabric itself is sooooo soft! So nice against your skin!

this is my new blog... not very exciting, but this is me...
B is sleeping, so I'll be off in a minute to speed clean the house before the family are here tonight for my brother's 20th birthday...
to do:
1. dishes
2. clean bathroom
3. clean loungeroom
4. dust
5. vacuum & mop
6. shower with B, wash hair... then do hair & makeup
7. cook dinner
8. get party food ready
9. clean kitchen


hopefully I'll get batteries for my camera tomorrow, so I can add photos...
